Portraits

This is a series I just finished after a whole lot of decision making.  It started out with the first layout in mind and realized it had too many images in one place.  After a few other layouts I decided on this final layout.  “Portraits” evolved out of the series “Gathering”.  I guess I wanted to get a closer look at the complicated figures heads.  The cubistic figures seem to show more personality than the original center piece.  That original orange center piece ended up in the trash.  The new center piece became nine individual drawing painted with acrylic and coated with various colored encaustic.    
On the last piece I incorporated one of my computer images from my painting.  I reduced it and formed it around the bottom of the box. I made a shrine like altar to frame the piece.  Yep, I am back to my shrines.
