Eagle Warrior

This piece was another sculpture developed within a book format.  The size and shape of the boxes, the texture of the cover, the color of the inside fabric  all motivate me to develop a certain subject.  The wings have a coating of encaustic which give them a contrasting texture to hard shinny metal.  The wine colored interior of the box provide a perfect color contrast to the white wings.  This piece is filled with symbols.  Hope you have some fun picking them out.
